A real report

This is what we measure before we write a word.

Every report starts here, with the same checks run against your live site. What we send is written on top of it by a person. This one is real, with the client taken out.

Questions

What people ask before they send an address.

Is it actually free?

Yes, and there's no call attached to it. A good share of the people who read one come back later with a project, and the ones who never do still got something they can use.

What do I get at the end?

A written report in your inbox. What we found, ranked by impact, with the reasoning beside each item so you can judge it yourself. It's yours to keep and to hand to whoever maintains the site.

What do you need from me?

Your name, an email, and the address of the site. We don't need logins, admin access, or anything installed.

How long does it take?

Within 48 hours. A person goes through the site rather than a script, so it isn't instant.

Is this an SEO audit?

SEO is part of it. So are speed, security, how the site behaves on a phone, and whether the content is doing its job. If your site is fine technically and losing people for some other reason, an SEO-only audit wouldn't tell you that.

How is this different from the free scanners?

A scanner gives you a score and a list of everything it can measure, which on most sites runs to a hundred unranked items. We run those checks too, then a developer reads the site and tells you which three or four are worth your time. The reading is the part that's hard to automate.

Who writes it?

One of the developers who builds our client work. The same person who'd work on your project if it went ahead.

Someone else built my site. Is that a problem?

Not for us. Most sites we look at were built by somebody else, and plenty of them are in decent shape. You get what we'd change and why, and you can hand that to whoever maintains it.

What happens to my details?

We reply to you and keep the request in our own records. It doesn't go anywhere else, and you're not on a mailing list.
