This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Version2 j.d.o.o. ("we," "us," "our") uses them on www.version2.hr, and how you can control them. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides full details on how we process personal data.
This policy complies with the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the Croatian Electronic Communications Act (Zakon o elektroničkim komunikacijama, Art. 104).
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. They serve various purposes: some are essential for the website to function correctly, while others help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

We follow a consent-based approach to cookies:

Your consent preferences are recorded and stored so that we do not need to ask you again on every visit. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the website footer. Updating your preferences takes effect immediately.
Category 1: Strictly Necessary
These cookies are essential for the basic functionality of our website. They enable core features such as session management, language preferences, and consent storage. Because the website cannot function properly without them, these cookies cannot be disabled.
Legal basis: Exempt from consent requirement under Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as strictly necessary for the provision of a service explicitly requested by the user.

Category 2: Analytics
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting information about which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and where visitors come from. This data helps us improve the website's structure, content, and performance.

*Note: While the cookie expiration is set to 2 years by Google, most modern browsers (including Safari and Firefox) limit first-party cookie lifetimes to approximately 400 days or less through Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP) and similar mechanisms.
Backend analytics (no cookies): We also collect anonymized page view and interaction data through our own backend analytics system. This system operates server-side and does not use cookies. It collects no personal identifiers. See section 2(d) of our Privacy Policy for details.
Category 3: Marketing
These cookies measure whether our advertising works: which campaigns bring visitors to the site, and which of those visits lead to an inquiry or an order. We use them for our own campaigns on Google and Meta platforms. The providers may also use this data for ad delivery and measurement on their own platforms, as described in their privacy policies.
These cookies are only active with your explicit consent. If you never enable the marketing category, no marketing cookie is set and no tracking pixel loads.

The following third parties may set cookies through our website:
Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) Google Analytics sets the cookies listed in Category 2 above to provide us with aggregated website usage statistics. Google processes this data under its own terms. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics' data practices.
Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd.)
With your marketing consent, Google Ads sets the _gcl_au cookie to measure which ad campaigns lead to inquiries and orders. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Meta Pixel)
With your marketing consent, the Meta Pixel sets the _fbp and _fbc cookies for conversion measurement and ad delivery on Meta platforms. Meta may also process this data for its own purposes as an independent controller. For more information, see Meta's Privacy Policy and Meta's Cookies Policy.
Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.) During the payment process (for example, when purchasing digital business cards), Stripe may set cookies that are strictly necessary for payment security, fraud prevention, and transaction completion. You can control cookies in two ways:
Via Our Consent Banner
Click the cookie settings link in our website footer at any time to review and change your cookie preferences. Changes take effect immediately. You can switch analytics and marketing cookies on or off whenever you choose.
Via Your Browser Settings
All major browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. You can typically find these options under "Privacy," "Security," or "Cookies" in your browser's settings menu:

Note: Clearing your browser cookies will also delete your consent preferences stored in v2_cookie_consent (browser localStorage, cleared together with site data). This means you will see the consent banner again on your next visit and will need to make your choices again.
