SEO
Getting found in search is mostly ordinary work on the pages you already have.
A search engine has to reach your pages, read them, and decide they answer the question someone typed. We work on the first two, we write down what we measured before anything changes, and we read the same measurement again later.
How search works
Three things happen before a page can appear.
Google describes its own search as three stages, and says not every page makes it through all of them. Knowing which stage your problem sits in is most of the diagnosis.
-
A program fetches your pages. It has to be allowed in, it has to find its way to each page through a link or a sitemap, and your server has to answer when it knocks.
Our partThe robots file, the sitemap, the server’s answers, and the redirects between them.
-
What was fetched gets read and filed. One subject per page, one address per page, and the machine readable copy has to say what the visible page says.
Our partOne address per page, the language map, and structured data that matches the text.
-
Someone types a question and the index is searched. Nobody controls this part. What you can work on is whether your page is the better answer, and how it reads when it appears.
Our partThe question each page answers, and the title and description it appears under.

The page itself
A page that answers a question has four parts.
Technical work gets a page read. It does not make the page worth reading. Both belong to the same page, and this is one of ours.

On the Croatian version the title in the result and the heading on the page are not the same sentence. The title answers the question the way it gets typed. The heading reads the way a person would say it.
Month by month
The first month is a survey. Every month after that is a reading.
You get the same two documents each month, what we read and what we changed.
Month 1
The first month
-
01
Crawl every page and write down what it says
Status, address, language, headings, images with no description, structured data. The list of what is wrong becomes the work list.
-
02
Read the results for the questions your pages answer
In your market’s language and region, personal results off, the date beside every position. That reading is the baseline.
-
03
Fix what stops a page being read
What blocks a crawler, what duplicates an address, what loads slowly, what a phone cannot use.
-
04
Put the subject of each page into its title and description
In the words the results already use, not the words we would have picked.
From month 2
Every month after
-
01
The same readings, in the same conditions
Same queries, same language and region, same settings. A reading taken another way cannot be compared.
-
02
What changed, and where we cannot tell
Some movement follows something we did. Some follows a change at Google, a competitor or the season. We say which, and we say when we do not know.
-
03
What we propose next, and what we are leaving alone
Usually a short list. If nothing is worth doing this month, that is what the report says.
AI in search
The features that answer with AI read the same pages.
Google says the practices are the same, that there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, and that no special file, markup or optimisation is needed. A page has to be indexed and allowed to show with a snippet. That is the entry condition.
So the work does not change: pages a crawler can reach, the important content as text, internal links that lead to it, and structured data that matches what the page shows. Google also says plainly that being crawled, indexed and served is never guaranteed.
Google Search Central, “AI features and your website”, last updated 10 December 2025, read on 18 September 2026.

# Version2
> We design and build websites and applications, and integrate AI into business systems. AI supports our development process and daily workflow. Content is available in English (root), Croatian (/hr/), and German (/de/).
We do not sell this as a separate service, because it is not separate work.
What it costs
Every piece of this has a price and a unit.
Meta tags, semantic markup, a sitemap and a robots file are in every website we build. The prices here are the work beyond that.
The monthly reading

The reading, the report and the month’s recommendations. Everything else on this list is one piece of work, done once.

Free website analysisThe limits
What this cannot do, and what is not worth paying for.
-
01
Nobody can promise you a position.
Google’s own guidance says no one can guarantee a number one ranking, and to find someone else if a company offers it. Being indexed and served is not guaranteed either.
-
02
Some of it is not worth buying from anyone.
The keywords meta tag, keyword stuffing, keywords in the domain name, a word count target, subdomains against subdirectories, a duplicate content penalty, the number and order of headings. Google lists every one as something not to focus on.
-
03
The tools cannot see inside Google.
Third party tools have no access to Google’s ranking data and Google endorses none of them. A position from a tool is an estimate. One we read is one day, written down with its conditions.
Google Search Central, “Do you need an SEO?” (last updated 5 June 2026) and the “SEO Starter Guide” (last updated 10 December 2025), both read on 18 September 2026.
Questions
The questions worth asking anyone, including us.
Google publishes a list of what to ask before hiring someone for this work. These are those questions, with our answers.
Can you show me what you have done?
Client work is in the portfolio and we will walk you through any of it on a call. We do not publish a client’s traffic figures, because those are theirs to publish.
What results do you expect, and how do you measure them?
We do not put a position or a visitor number in a proposal. We measure by taking the same reading at two dates under the same conditions and telling you what moved. Where the cause is not clear, we say it is not clear.
How long before anything changes?
Google says some changes register within hours and others take several months, and suggests waiting a few weeks before judging. Plan on a few months before a pattern is readable, and treat anything faster as luck rather than method.
Do I actually need this?
Sometimes not. If your customers arrive by referral, by phone or from one map listing, the money is better spent elsewhere. A first look tells us which of those you are, and that look is free.
Will you tell me every change you make?
Yes, as a list each month with the reason for each item. Google’s own advice on hiring for this is to insist on exactly that, and to be careful with anyone who will not explain what they are doing.
What access do you need?
Read access to your Search Console to begin with. Write access to the site only when there is a change to make, and only where the change lands. If we can send you a list to apply instead, we will.
Do you buy links?
No. Link schemes are against Google’s spam policies and the risk lands on your site, not on ours. The only links we work towards are the ones someone gives you because the page was useful.
What happens if we stop?
Everything already written into your pages stays there. What stops is the reading and the report, so the next time something moves, nobody notices for a while.
