Every invoice a small business sends sets off more paperwork

Croatian companies and sole traders issue an invoice, then report it to the tax authority, chase the payment, take the goods out of stock and pass it all on to their accountant, often typing the same figures several times. AVES Finance is an app designed so that the invoice carries that work itself.

A confirmed invoice in Aves sets off the rest: the report for the tax authority, a barcode the buyer can scan to pay, the sold goods deducted from stock, and reminders that stop once it's paid. Incoming e-invoices become expenses, with a check for duplicates, and the sales and purchase books and the VAT report the accountant needs are built from the same records.

The rest of the business sits in the same app

Beyond invoicing, the same app holds clients and suppliers, expenses, the warehouse, work orders, the cash register and reports, along with products, price lists and documents. A business that only needs the basics can keep it in a simple mode, while one with products and a warehouse switches to the advanced one. The point is that the figures an owner and their accountant need at the end of the month already sit in one place, entered once.

Fiscalization belongs to the invoice, and it's still in pilot

Under Fiscalization 2.0, invoicing involves the official eRačun format, submission to the tax authority and a FINA certificate, and Aves is designed to treat all of that as part of the invoice. As its public site states, Aves is in pilot and public registration is closed. Invoice, payment and cancellation submissions have passed checks using a demo certificate in the tax authority's test system.

Customer operation still needs a pilot with a production certificate and an accountant's review, along with finished e-invoice exchange with buyers. Until then there's a waitlist, nothing is charged before launch, and there's no confirmed opening date.

AVES Finance is a product we built, and its public site has been up in Croatian and English since May 2026. We wrote the copy, designed the product and developed both the app and the site.
