Free SEO Analysis: What It Reveals About Your Site

Your website might be losing traffic right now because of problems you don't even know about. Here's what an SEO analysis uncovers and why it matters.

Your website could be bleeding traffic and you wouldn't know it. That's not a scare tactic. It's just how SEO works. Problems are silent until you look for them.

An SEO analysis is a technical checkup for your website. It tells you what's working, what's broken, and what's quietly costing you visitors. We offer one for free because we've seen too many business owners spend months wondering why their site isn't performing when the answer was fixable in a week.

What we actually look at

This isn't a surface-level scan from some automated tool. We dig into the things that genuinely affect how Google sees your site.

Keyword usage

Are you targeting the right keywords? Are they placed where they matter, in your titles, headings, meta descriptions, and opening paragraphs? Most sites either target keywords that are too competitive or don't target them strategically at all.

We check whether your keyword strategy matches what your potential customers actually search for. There's a big difference between the terms you think people use and the terms they actually type into Google.

Site speed

A site that loads in 5 seconds loses about half its visitors before they see anything. Speed isn't a nice-to-have. It's a ranking factor and a business factor.

We measure your load times and identify what's slowing you down. Common culprits: oversized images, too many scripts, no browser caching, bloated code. These are all fixable. Check out our speed optimization guide for the technical details.

Mobile experience

More than half of all web traffic comes from mobile devices. If your site is hard to use on a phone, you're losing visitors and rankings simultaneously.

We test how your site renders on different screen sizes. We check tap targets, font sizes, layout shifts, and navigation. A site that looks fine on desktop can be unusable on mobile. Read more about why responsive design matters.

Backlinks are links from other websites pointing to yours. Google treats them as votes of confidence. We look at how many you have, where they come from, and whether any are toxic (spammy links can actually hurt your rankings).

A healthy backlink profile means links from relevant, reputable sources. A weak profile means Google has fewer reasons to trust your content.

Domain authority

This is a composite score that predicts how well your site will rank. It factors in your backlink profile, site age, content quality, and technical health.

We'll tell you where you stand relative to your competitors. If they have a domain authority of 40 and you're at 15, that gap explains a lot about why they outrank you.

Image optimization

Every image on your site should have descriptive alt text, appropriate file size, and a relevant filename. Most sites fail on all three counts.

Missing alt text means Google can't understand what your images show. Oversized images slow your site down. Filenames like "IMG_4532.jpg" are wasted opportunities for keyword relevance.

Technical SEO health

We check for crawl errors, broken links, missing sitemaps, redirect chains, duplicate content, and other technical issues that prevent Google from properly indexing your site.

These problems are invisible to visitors but very visible to search engines. A single misconfigured robots.txt file can block Google from seeing your entire site.

A URL passing left to right through four gates before reaching a stack of search results: robots.txt, the HTTP status, the robots meta tag and the canonical link. A crimson arrow drops out of each gate, labelled Disallow, 404, noindex and another URL. The arrow leaving the HTTP gate is labelled 200.
Why one line in robots.txt can hide a whole site: it is the first gate, and a URL stopped there is never fetched, so nothing later in the path ever runs.View full-size image

Common problems we find

After running hundreds of these analyses, certain patterns show up again and again:

No keyword strategy at all. The site has content but it's not targeting any specific search terms. It ranks for almost nothing because Google doesn't know what the site is about.

Painfully slow load times. Usually caused by uncompressed images, too many plugins (especially on WordPress sites), or cheap hosting that can't handle the traffic.

Broken mobile experience. Text too small to read. Buttons too close together to tap. Horizontal scrolling. These kill your mobile rankings.

Zero backlinks. The site exists in isolation. No other website links to it, so Google has no external signal that the content is worth showing to anyone.

Missing or duplicate meta descriptions. Either every page has the same generic description or no description at all. Both are missed opportunities to tell Google (and searchers) what each page is about.

No blog or content strategy. The site has 5 static pages and hasn't published anything new in years. Google favors sites that regularly produce fresh, relevant content. Our guide to blogging for SEO explains why this matters.

What happens after the analysis

We deliver results within 1-2 business days. No jargon-heavy reports designed to confuse you into buying something. Plain language explanations of what we found and what it means for your business.

For each issue, we explain:

  • What the problem is.
  • Why it matters for your rankings and traffic.
  • How to fix it.
  • How urgent it is (some things need immediate attention, others can wait).

You can take our recommendations and implement them yourself, hand them to your developer, or work with us to fix them. No pressure either way. The analysis is genuinely free with no strings attached.

Why we offer this for free

Because most business owners don't know what they don't know about SEO. They assume their site is fine because it looks nice. But looking nice and performing well on Google are completely different things.

A free analysis builds trust. If we can show you real problems with clear fixes, you'll understand the value of professional SEO work. Some people fix the issues themselves. Others hire us to help. Either way, you leave with actionable information you didn't have before.
