A trusted voice for one stretch of coast

Adria Escape set out to be a trusted voice for the Croatian Adriatic: practical destination guides, seasonal advice and local knowledge, for people planning a trip they have saved up for.

That ambition set the constraints. It had to read like a publication. It had to serve five language markets properly. And search had to be built into the architecture from the first day.

Five languages, and none of them run through a translator

English, Croatian, German, Italian and Slovenian, with every article translated by hand to keep the tone intact. Each language has its own addresses, its own metadata and its own sitemap, so each one competes on its own merits.

It is the expensive way to do it. It is also the reason a German reader gets an article that sounds like it was written for them, because it was.

A newsroom the editors run, and other software can write into

The editorial team publishes, edits, manages destinations and taxonomy, and controls what is live in which language, without a developer in the loop. Alongside that sits an access layer that lets external tools and AI agents work with the content directly, which is what turns a publishing schedule into something one small team can actually sustain across five languages.

On-site search runs across the whole corpus, and Cloudflare sits in front of it. The bot protection was our own call, and on a content property with this much surface it is not optional.

Built to compound

Every article added ships as five, each properly translated and each able to rank on its own. Volume makes the platform more valuable instead of heavier, which is the difference between a magazine and a website with a blog attached.

Live since January 2026, with the traffic growing through its first summer. The photography is the client's throughout.

adriaescape.com

We are very happy with the website created for Adria Escape. It turned out exactly how we imagined it, and even better in some parts. The design feels clean, professional, and truly fits our brand. What we appreciated most was that the team did not just make the website look good, but also made it feel easy and natural to use. Everything feels well thought out, from the layout to the overall user experience. They understood our vision very well, paid attention to the details, and delivered a result we are genuinely proud of.
