A stone workshop's range, explained before anyone drives out to the yard.

Markvinia is a family stonemason's workshop in Biograd na Moru. Marble, granite, travertine and quartz leave it as gravestones and grave furnishings, fireplaces, kitchen worktops, stairs, bathrooms, wall cladding and pool surrounds. A family ordering a headstone and an architect specifying a staircase end up in the same yard.

The new site, in Croatian and English, gives the workshop a place of its own and follows the stone from the raw block to the finished detail. Stonework is easiest to judge once you've seen where and how it's made.

People often know the look they're after before they know the product: a black granite, a warm travertine, a marble with a particular vein. The catalogue sorts every stone the workshop works into granite, marble and travertine, and names each one with the country it comes from.

That gives the customer and the workshop the same words before the first conversation. A family can narrow the choice to two or three stones at home, an architect can quote an exact name, and the visit to the yard starts from a stone both sides already know.

A 360° walk takes in the facade, the slab yard, the workshop and the showroom, next to a map for the drive. On the grave pages, illustrative 3D models of finished pieces can be turned and seen from every side. They load only when someone asks for them, which keeps the pages light for everyone else.

The client updates the Croatian homepage and category texts, writes the blog and reads enquiries in their own admin, guided by a Croatian manual handed over with the site. Every enquiry is saved before any e-mail goes out, so even a message held back by the spam filter waits there until the client releases it.

The site replaced an older one and has been live since July 2026. We wrote the copy, designed and built it, and host it.
